The official program provided with the Chic mp10 doesn't allow to transfer a mp3 file from the device to the PC, saying that it would violate copyrights. Differently from what I initially thought, this protection resulted simply in a software protection. Leaving out my considerations about copyrights, I think that this distinction is completely ridiculous: not-copyrighted mp3 files exist, and also copyrighted files of different type. I don't know reasons for such a software protection, but I was not interested, so I didn't implement it.
